Sales Associate
JOB SUMMARY:
Receive and disburse money. Involves use of electronic scanners, cash registers, or related equipment. Processing credit or debit card transactions and validating checks. Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services. Unpack orders from wholesalers. The person in this position reports to the pharmacy manager.
TASKS:
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change to customers.
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas as well as general store.
- Establish or identify prices of goods or services and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners.
- Receive payments by cash, check, credit cards.
- Answer customers’ questions, and provide information on procedures or policies.
- Greet customers’ entering establishment.
- Answer telephone in a courteous manner, according to Company Policy.
- Unpack incoming orders and put stock away in proper place.
- Perform nightly procedures for cash registers and store closing.
- Merchandise on shelves straightened daily.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Less than a High School Diploma
